The 2025-26 Pops Series, Long Beach Symphony comes to the big top at the Long Beach Arena at Long Beach Convention Center on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, for an Earth, Wind & Fire Dance Party. Tickets start at $70.
The Conductor and Musical Director, Troy Quinn, and the Long Beach Symphony welcome you to a night of Food, Drink and Funk! The Orchestra will be joined by the ten-piece band Serpentine Fire and vocalist Tyriq Johnson in a performance of the music of Earth, Wind & Fire including “September”, “Let’s Groove”, “Boogie Wonderland” and “Shining Star”. Please feel free to bring in your own food and drink for this indoor concert. Two dance floors will be available for you to dance the night away!
Meet at Gates at 6:00 PM for stewing and festivities and concert should start at 7:30 PM.

The Long Beach Symphony is a professional, regional, symphonic orchestra based in Long Beach, California. Performing a wide variety of orchestral repertoire from traditional classical masterworks to contemporary pops performances, the Symphony has entertained audiences in Long Beach and surrounding areas since 1935. One of the city's premier arts organizations with a large and dedicated following, the Symphony is also one of the largest supporters of music education in the region.

Vocalist, Tyriq Johnson, a Milwaukee native was first recognized for his powerful voice when he performed as Prince. Audiences and venues have given a standing ovation to his tribute to this iconic artist. Tyriq Johnson's unique multi-octave voice and precise pitch in his upper range falsetto capture the true tone of this musical legend. Relive the eclectic music of Earth, Wind & Fire. In addition to touring and recording with his own group, Johnson has shared the stage with The Bar Kays, Mint Condition, and The Time, and is a respected figure in the world of funk music.
The Long Beach Arena at Long Beach Convention Center is a unique multi-purpose facility for conventions, expositions, product shows, concerts, sporting events and entertainment productions. Arena seating for approximately 13,500 for a concert show.

For this concert there is paid parking at $15 per car in the Center’s lots. The Main Parking Lot is located on the Shoreline Drive side of the Spreckels Center and has 1,500 parking spaces. The Terrace Theater Parking Garage is located on the south side of the Spreckels Center and has an additional 1,000 parking spaces. Parking is close and convenient.
